10-9-25   THOUGHTS

We closed yesterday with...
1Cor 6:19-20  Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?  20  For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.        We look  at the powerful words SEAL and PLEDGE this morning.  There’s a prayer that starts at verse 17.  The request is for an enlightened heart to know the hope of God’s calling us. God’s great power is always for us!


Eph 1:13-19    In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation —  having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise,  14  who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.  15  For this reason I too, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists among you and your love for all the saints, 16  do not cease giving thanks for you, while making mention of you in my prayers;  17  that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him.  18  I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of  His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,  19  and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might
 
Our Prayer:
Father, enlighten our vision of what you have done for us, and what we can do in Jesus.  Awaken us and strengthen us to please You in all.  May we know Your sealing Spirit and the pledge of hope.  Help us to launch out into the deep in fruitful labors for The Kingdom.  May we be true disciples, joyful children looking to You for all.  We love and praise Your great name.  It’s in Jesus,   Amen.
